I was going through my stash, organising things, as you do ;) and came across some old Basic Grey - they were one of my first loves in scrapbooking. BUT I discovered while re-organising the stash that those papers I just couldn't bear to use because they were too beautiful, just didn't hold that same degree of love anymore. Tastes change I guess, and the scrapbooking industry has evolved so much since I first started card making back in 2001!<br />

<br />
So, this little cutie is my great-nephew, on Christmas Day just chilling while we had a family photo shoot. The papers are a mixture of Nordic Holiday and Marrakech from Basic Grey. I mixed it all up with chipboard from Dusty Attic and 2 Crafty, and chipboard stickers from Echo Park. Distress Oxides created the background with some random stamping. To get my creativity cranking into gear, I used one of the sketches, and the mood board, from Dusty Attic.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqps5duoWd6mnIgHYV-mta0u5eDUbHP87-SiP_-iIDcHvbYv11Obf7qR-M-UAGrYu75-pkX6C4aefXl_DK3WZyy0aqclHWPDUiMxCXgF139d8Z6Rh28_VwIiDP3WpNJiCJKyoPtMFTyos/s1600/51184400_10155277170534649_2994641440052609024_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqps5duoWd6mnIgHYV-mta0u5eDUbHP87-SiP_-iIDcHvbYv11Obf7qR-M-UAGrYu75-pkX6C4aefXl_DK3WZyy0aqclHWPDUiMxCXgF139d8Z6Rh28_VwIiDP3WpNJiCJKyoPtMFTyos/s320/51184400_10155277170534649_2994641440052609024_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Distress Oxides are my latest go to, I love how easy they blend together! This card uses Victorian Velvet, Fossilized Amber, and Abandoned Coral. The background die is from Lawn Fawn and the stamps are from Altenew.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnZfw2IyPNnci0Pn8R03ti_P1ROK_qvXYxTp5LLe00cFTEXVEpV68P2iSo6c6Q2HJbtLmieFdndkNgKMx0PcFUiM7GGqmAh65_KsIlzXhB_VEKn5M8OK8ADwiEqaUMyFZZW_QGW8lA0O8/s1600/51087000_10155277174809649_5416903235791224832_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnZfw2IyPNnci0Pn8R03ti_P1ROK_qvXYxTp5LLe00cFTEXVEpV68P2iSo6c6Q2HJbtLmieFdndkNgKMx0PcFUiM7GGqmAh65_KsIlzXhB_VEKn5M8OK8ADwiEqaUMyFZZW_QGW8lA0O8/s320/51087000_10155277174809649_5416903235791224832_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
My last card uses scraps of bittersweet from Basic Grey, left over from a mini album I made for my work's Valentines Day Raffle. This card is just layers, layers layers, its really quite simple. 4 different Memory Box Dies, with some Scrapinec chipboard, paper straws and flowers from Green Tara.<br />
<br />
For some reason, despite trying to save these cards multiple times they ended up with the top and bottoms chopped off! SO ANNOYING!! however, it did feel great utilising some of those old papers :)<br />
<br />
I have to say a big THANK YOU to my wonderful friend Francine, she's given my blog a bit of revamp for me :) What do you think? I love it! <3<br />
<br />
Have a great weekend :)<br />

Like most of you I was gutted when they closed, and then absolutely stoked to see the company return! :) <br />
For the last few weeks the new owners have been doing blog posts thanking the individual members of the 2018 design team, before they announce who the new team is. Heres the <a href="http://bluefernstudios.blogspot.com/2019/01/saying-goodbye-to-2018-design-team_21.html" target="_blank">link</a> to mine, love that they picked one of my favourite OTP projects to showcase :) :)<br />
<br />
In case you're wondering ;) I did not apply this time round.<br />
See you again soon!Megshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10129368264919375819noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4751004094019267938.post-45076079711362232342019-01-27T21:52:00.002-08:002019-01-27T21:52:40.801-08:00This and That.........................................2019. how did that sneak up so fast? and its already nearly the end of January! I remember as a child hearing that time goes fast the older you get, and obviously my young self would have thought that was weird. Little did I know how accurate it was!<br />
<br /><br />
<br />
You may be wondering where Ive been since my last post. Its been a while. Or you may not ;) the end of 2018 absolutely sucked for us, it was a tough time but Im happy to say the light has well and truly shown at the end of the tunnel! :) So, what happened? In August our beloved exotic mongrel ;) <3 Dougal got diagnosed with a tumour on his liver. By the time they found it, and he started having symptoms, it was 6cm and we were told we had 3-6 more months with him. The following month my mother-inlaw developed Atrial Fibrillation, and in the following 6 weeks had four admissions to hospital before it was under control. In the same month our beautiful McKenzie - the 2nd of our exotic mongrels ;) - was diagnosed with a brain tumour and we lost her two weeks later. Eight weeks later we lost Dougal. To say we were heart broken seems not enough. Its bad enough losing one of our dogs, let alone two, and so quickly. There was no scrapping. I just didn't feel like it. Too much stress in too short a time definitely takes a toll!<br />
<br /><br />

<br />
Around Christmas I finally felt like creating again, and made some layouts as gifts, and Christmas stockings for name places at Christmas dinner. <br />
<br /><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZBh7JWVQrJaxc5iAQYDfPNtM1cMypzVGRmdmseNcy7zsjX1SVFA8yUX6KAcIoz9KuDBT2m_ud8igjcbdWI6aqVFrYqGN6Srikb3NqtX59ZMMtgtj8hjyLEP_SBucyFige-5gqEH9CsXE/s1600/49332850_10155233232374649_3090815451551236096_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZBh7JWVQrJaxc5iAQYDfPNtM1cMypzVGRmdmseNcy7zsjX1SVFA8yUX6KAcIoz9KuDBT2m_ud8igjcbdWI6aqVFrYqGN6Srikb3NqtX59ZMMtgtj8hjyLEP_SBucyFige-5gqEH9CsXE/s320/49332850_10155233232374649_3090815451551236096_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
One of favourite companies, 49 and Market <3 I love the fussy cut-ability of their papers! This one uses their dimensional stickers with Cottage Life collection, still one of my favourite paper collections, and the large chipboard piece is from Dusty Attic.<br />
<br /><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgidkMsyZP865S8wFOTbrzTC9v725XamehZ6MUCruV1y4a4BsbopC8HigFqIPKErF-wRj6ZKBdUT8ealcjuof1rKcpS2UbaO2_EPub5DWq9TLAfc5hKEuu3NYIa13gZIdkh3vvZFo2Cw-Y/s1600/49546008_10155233234359649_7135568582930333696_n-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgidkMsyZP865S8wFOTbrzTC9v725XamehZ6MUCruV1y4a4BsbopC8HigFqIPKErF-wRj6ZKBdUT8ealcjuof1rKcpS2UbaO2_EPub5DWq9TLAfc5hKEuu3NYIa13gZIdkh3vvZFo2Cw-Y/s320/49546008_10155233234359649_7135568582930333696_n-2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
This piece was a little different for me, its uses 7 Dots paper and pieces from the cut outs. Chipboard this time is from Blue Fern Studios. That big word is from Robbie Bell - I purchased this at SENZ a few years ago, its wood and embossed beautifully!<br />
<br /><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs7xxMgx3EYls3i25H4vtMhGSz7uXq9lcLjpBZJYcopDWhf5N0aI3s8GVZVtEmhtj_QDlNU_FgWxS00QZCS8f_jPoAvtXG7bbyt-oCACaGUwOD4qkbJoQ_XQoktM3WrTbyuF9GpNl0cCs/s1600/50247576_10155233236864649_8035674328081104896_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs7xxMgx3EYls3i25H4vtMhGSz7uXq9lcLjpBZJYcopDWhf5N0aI3s8GVZVtEmhtj_QDlNU_FgWxS00QZCS8f_jPoAvtXG7bbyt-oCACaGUwOD4qkbJoQ_XQoktM3WrTbyuF9GpNl0cCs/s320/50247576_10155233236864649_8035674328081104896_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
The last layout is again 49 and Market, this time the chipboard is 2 Crafty. The paper is again Cottage Life and Ive also used the dimensional stickers again too. <br />
<br /><br />
<br />
So Christmas place names. These were actually supposed to be banners. They're from Kaisercraft, and I thought they would make awesome place tags. The bamboo names at the top of each stocking came from Love From Seventeen - they come plain and Ive embossed them gold, they're actually supposed to be used as name tags for presents but I changed it up a bit ;) The paper this time is a really old BoBunny collection, Noel - one of my favourite Christmas collections, love the colours!<br />
<br /><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQwZVZaClixOJvoCC2fyda9oc_VR7wTQ-wwvovk0wVWkRK_GQv1E-MxMVowktyvVcauNIY84UgFuazbDohimY8we9QRroIGM2oFUfGYmR73V9MhFkm2_xCWDz9marvQVDkcEeXvgtXnGU/s1600/49599669_10155233252109649_1017587858204000256_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="960" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQwZVZaClixOJvoCC2fyda9oc_VR7wTQ-wwvovk0wVWkRK_GQv1E-MxMVowktyvVcauNIY84UgFuazbDohimY8we9QRroIGM2oFUfGYmR73V9MhFkm2_xCWDz9marvQVDkcEeXvgtXnGU/s320/49599669_10155233252109649_1017587858204000256_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
This is mine. The Burgundy paper was actually plain so to shoosh it up a bit I used a BoBunny stickable stencil and their gold glitter paste. The cluster at the top was created out of fussy cutting some of the holly and punching out some leaves with a new Holly punch I had from Stampin Up. <br />
<br />
<br /><br />
<br />
Lastly, did you know I have a facebook page where I pop all my projects, with details on how I created them? You can find it <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Weemegs-Studio-Creations-1744557915863106/" target="_blank">here</a>.<br />
Everything also is added to my Pinterest page, and you can find that <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Weemegs-Studio-Creations-1744557915863106/" target="_blank">here</a>.<br />
<br />
Happy New Year Everyone!, see you soon :)Megshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10129368264919375819noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4751004094019267938.post-10425180712935888262018-04-16T20:04:00.001-07:002018-04-16T20:04:36.563-07:00The Paper Teapot Autumn RetreatHello Again :)<br />
<br />
Its hard to believe that this time last week I was preparing for retreat, and the weather was absolutely abysmal!, and now look at it, simply stunning. Probably the best time to scrap though, right? when the weather is horrid?<br />
I was terribly unprepared this time round. My class stuff was organised but not my personal scrappy stuff. For the first time ever I think, I was up to date with everything, and because of that I couldn't think of what to do. Not that there weren't a hundred and one other things I could do, I just couldn't think of what! So I delayed. Never a good thing! Eventually I grabbed a few kits that I had for a while waiting to be done, and an OTP idea I had buzzing round my head, and then a thousand other things that I might need and better take otherwise I'd probably want them and not have them! You know how it goes ;) and I was on the road to Glentui.<br />
<br />
The class I taught used 49 & Market papers and flowers, and created two layouts. We used the B side of the papers because that red was just gorgeous!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitbyZMelr27hxwx6QuF0gR1ZihkPyLTD_UxQF-YFC2AIpvYv9oszJrp_xeRe4NWxMrpu1JjMY7wFXxVfU1AZMlYt4Nh4Pl_3_3zJB0Eyb8EqERqtxpMAUPPCdiuLUCq9jscJO4qdjkL3E/s1600/fullsizeoutput_de9.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1589" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitbyZMelr27hxwx6QuF0gR1ZihkPyLTD_UxQF-YFC2AIpvYv9oszJrp_xeRe4NWxMrpu1JjMY7wFXxVfU1AZMlYt4Nh4Pl_3_3zJB0Eyb8EqERqtxpMAUPPCdiuLUCq9jscJO4qdjkL3E/s320/fullsizeoutput_de9.jpeg" width="317" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
The second layout used the scraps from the first to create the base page. There was also a lot of fussy cutting, but those graphics are just devine!, how could you not?!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhca6ZbXXvxi8HndT3bIGaGxKgAMHfzT8hmWwg88Wt0VxFqI95cslbXLeCh_hgRQvlfwQYZx264wi-qFSGUdFVBcY8X8vgkysaogsZvb2wBiTI3V6HqCNnxwQKvgeurXEscUTyC89bwNvo/s1600/fullsizeoutput_e09.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1598" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhca6ZbXXvxi8HndT3bIGaGxKgAMHfzT8hmWwg88Wt0VxFqI95cslbXLeCh_hgRQvlfwQYZx264wi-qFSGUdFVBcY8X8vgkysaogsZvb2wBiTI3V6HqCNnxwQKvgeurXEscUTyC89bwNvo/s320/fullsizeoutput_e09.jpeg" width="319" /></a></div>
<br />
I also took along three kits and got two of them done. Its a rather good feeling to tick something off the 'to do' list! <br />
The first kit was a Di Garling kit I had had for quite sometime. I fluffed round with it for quite awhile before I decided to change the orientation of the page, and change the photo, before I was finally happy. Loved that background technique though :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizJsxG4gyXNvmxo1SQFIzalsyhYH6P7fCL4qkMHeTQc1KxhZqsDwlak3A9K5ys3I4HDQKNaJgkTHD1O8YzlYk35iibXyNsXbuWDWp2RI_VPvZM1Y78e7bvGq34TSznJaY2eKD_st5_3i8/s1600/fullsizeoutput_df6.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1580" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizJsxG4gyXNvmxo1SQFIzalsyhYH6P7fCL4qkMHeTQc1KxhZqsDwlak3A9K5ys3I4HDQKNaJgkTHD1O8YzlYk35iibXyNsXbuWDWp2RI_VPvZM1Y78e7bvGq34TSznJaY2eKD_st5_3i8/s320/fullsizeoutput_df6.jpeg" width="316" /></a></div>
<br />
This kit had another layout in you could do as well but I wasn't sold on it, so used the remaining papers to do something else instead, and this was what I came up with. I think Im happy with it, just not sure about that top right corner. Might mull on that for awhile!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYwXcCnb3xCZfl64OntKwAzbtSP2bVyzyme_dz1Labf27ydHkG2p-4qXXu5EjR_fKLwQkYzOQq-ltcliYBabCkEKwHPToqpayHrbs4Ws1QbbvrZakAz1cd6jY6nMgK-t0Oo0RLaaI8Mgw/s1600/fullsizeoutput_e00.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1553" data-original-width="1600" height="310" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYwXcCnb3xCZfl64OntKwAzbtSP2bVyzyme_dz1Labf27ydHkG2p-4qXXu5EjR_fKLwQkYzOQq-ltcliYBabCkEKwHPToqpayHrbs4Ws1QbbvrZakAz1cd6jY6nMgK-t0Oo0RLaaI8Mgw/s320/fullsizeoutput_e00.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Bit of a story behind this photo. 27 years ago the three of us were about to graduate from nursing school and we posed for a photo. We looked very cool in our denim shirts, jeans and perms ;) Fast forward 25 years and we did it all again, the same pose, minus the denim ;)<br />
<br />
The second kit I played around with was by Gerry Van Gent. I love this womans style! And I didn't change this particular kit. 49 & Market. Whats not to love?!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjW_Y8XRbs3Dm7PsSFk_xQ64OYjQ4NwsAbrQqtqTPPr3uAoBia1oSQ2D6u7bW_Z8uWtvHgYygnfe82VJ2tlPAdNeWSgRzbC1e9JBQfb3MZGET653-kwVQQ2BlMTd3PVUMqJ6yUnS3q4wg/s1600/fullsizeoutput_de8.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1592" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjW_Y8XRbs3Dm7PsSFk_xQ64OYjQ4NwsAbrQqtqTPPr3uAoBia1oSQ2D6u7bW_Z8uWtvHgYygnfe82VJ2tlPAdNeWSgRzbC1e9JBQfb3MZGET653-kwVQQ2BlMTd3PVUMqJ6yUnS3q4wg/s320/fullsizeoutput_de8.jpeg" width="318" /></a></div>
<br />
So that was about the total of my creativity this time round. Not much really, although there is an OTP project, but you will have to wait til next month to see that ;)<br />
In the meantime heres a sneaky peak of a layout kit I designed coming soon from the Paper Teapot :)<br />
<br />

Hello again :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I know, I was supposed to show you what else I had been creating at Christmas but I thought I'd show you a couple of layouts I have posted recently on Blue Fern Studios, first.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8jvCM6FN86J80206sh1jINKRe8exata3GvBAI6KVyRdSePWfivGsrRkXmEhWytUmARF-LPjJiotGHbX6lIljMUuSjdYDa47xdpSIf7MpdGcYzv2S4K-gEOuMl8sByQ5xvau1AFbxPCOM/s1600/BFS+Amber++Apricot+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="652" data-original-width="650" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8jvCM6FN86J80206sh1jINKRe8exata3GvBAI6KVyRdSePWfivGsrRkXmEhWytUmARF-LPjJiotGHbX6lIljMUuSjdYDa47xdpSIf7MpdGcYzv2S4K-gEOuMl8sByQ5xvau1AFbxPCOM/s320/BFS+Amber++Apricot+1.jpg" width="319" /></a></div>
<br />
This was not a collection I was drawn to initially. Im not sure why, the colours were right up my alley. The turning point was finding the right photo, and this loved up pair were the perfect accompaniment ;). The base page is actually two pieces of patterned paper - I fussy cut along the edge of the white piece, backed this onto chipboard and then popped it onto my background piece of paper. The honeycomb chipboard I left as it was, it colour coordinated perfectly left bare, and this was tucked in along the edges.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRInmcAGTRkkkeMlZzV0vFF40zWrhsZLfCXTS-Cl4u-ZCmrMsQi2wbsnONACptLSELkLpJl316Swlu9tQS5fTratowW1YAAtYgarV6CLDnx8lgsDUavVtnPJkU2W4RZn9NXUhoHajUCa0/s1600/BFS+Amber++Apricot+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="433" data-original-width="650" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRInmcAGTRkkkeMlZzV0vFF40zWrhsZLfCXTS-Cl4u-ZCmrMsQi2wbsnONACptLSELkLpJl316Swlu9tQS5fTratowW1YAAtYgarV6CLDnx8lgsDUavVtnPJkU2W4RZn9NXUhoHajUCa0/s320/BFS+Amber++Apricot+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I thinned down my Prima Rust Pastes with a little water and used them to splatter all over my layout. the seedlings were the perfect addition, giving a little more depth and interest.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiN8kSwrkbfl2ETr5nNsM_0pe29-t1HKYnFp6vno4Y9HHK7rOnD4-SI3WmmAy2I0290TCfedVLUUzxGF1p9mQvBtb9-hr-ZPiemMj9jPnqV6moivFCp1tP0Xr0RXLl23kM1uizRyzIogUQ/s1600/BFS+Amber+Apricot+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="433" data-original-width="650" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiN8kSwrkbfl2ETr5nNsM_0pe29-t1HKYnFp6vno4Y9HHK7rOnD4-SI3WmmAy2I0290TCfedVLUUzxGF1p9mQvBtb9-hr-ZPiemMj9jPnqV6moivFCp1tP0Xr0RXLl23kM1uizRyzIogUQ/s320/BFS+Amber+Apricot+3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I used three pieces of chipboard for my cluster. The circle flourish, and a couple of mini flourishes - both of these were embossed with Mushroom embossing powder.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguHQwy9jW0slxIAxEvHBjOXejkOMsQO8MSbGpbKedQBMGlHOzSx6X5GUT3sbr4mQjZW2cCGQadOAdGB7BgT9JblcCbGCA0IGNzj2aiTA47gFoKCecdLYYdTibTsB3HbkzXVJPitSHBqEM/s1600/BFS+Amber+Apricot+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="299" data-original-width="650" height="147" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguHQwy9jW0slxIAxEvHBjOXejkOMsQO8MSbGpbKedQBMGlHOzSx6X5GUT3sbr4mQjZW2cCGQadOAdGB7BgT9JblcCbGCA0IGNzj2aiTA47gFoKCecdLYYdTibTsB3HbkzXVJPitSHBqEM/s320/BFS+Amber+Apricot+4.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
A little fussy cutting and the addition of some BF flowers gave me a great cluster, that gives it an appearance of a lot of depth when actually its just two layers.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3FCtZ9aFrBj78pKAjiiVVxYbV70sj0dgfPDiA1ebOLNNOzxH7oKONTEQh7_z68F73d6rtiZ-IEpMlFriPhinQimcd2cHTyjxVZdX_Rm1vtAMuDcCEk3sMsQqGuEVAqgzb_aq2kC_yFWc/s1600/BFS+Amber+Apricot+1A.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="648" data-original-width="650" height="319" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3FCtZ9aFrBj78pKAjiiVVxYbV70sj0dgfPDiA1ebOLNNOzxH7oKONTEQh7_z68F73d6rtiZ-IEpMlFriPhinQimcd2cHTyjxVZdX_Rm1vtAMuDcCEk3sMsQqGuEVAqgzb_aq2kC_yFWc/s320/BFS+Amber+Apricot+1A.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This layout again used the Amber & Apricot Collection, and sort of used the same design, drawing the eye across the page. The chipboard frame was again covered with Mushroom embossing powder and did the perfect job of framing my photo. The clusters arranged down each side were fussy cut from another piece of patterned paper and the scraps were used to create my banners.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhttyiu6qazSlQ21YXXZ3CKzkmxmXcMTx-V7czyUjxbOt0qowCjbJqscPqDPfdTfutJMn7eLaNHJ0Q6QhtdykmVLKmX6peeKSRudEviiWRDhteeiHthOTqBItvbnSx0tqluwnOTCvyUMVM/s1600/BFS+Amber+Apricot+2A.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="433" data-original-width="650" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhttyiu6qazSlQ21YXXZ3CKzkmxmXcMTx-V7czyUjxbOt0qowCjbJqscPqDPfdTfutJMn7eLaNHJ0Q6QhtdykmVLKmX6peeKSRudEviiWRDhteeiHthOTqBItvbnSx0tqluwnOTCvyUMVM/s320/BFS+Amber+Apricot+2A.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The heart was in two layers; the top layer was left painted red, and the bottom was painted red also but while still wet it was covered in glitter and then inked in black archival ink, and then layered on top of each other with a piece from the coordination printed chipboard. The chipboard title Happy Memories was painted half red and half black - the black being archival ink, giving a two toned effect.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirPR5YMsti5t58rIEecUh-LVW5-mz692ebu9ywbI_wEWTd63FZqpUi4fSPpI1lXtUKHntlfL9aAIO3h02stFjGOJD7dXM5F9bTNJcQ3ZHR3JGvOKQXJqka2UWz4R5MYcH_dvOfzjIl94A/s1600/BFS+Amber+Apricot+3A.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="433" data-original-width="650" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEirPR5YMsti5t58rIEecUh-LVW5-mz692ebu9ywbI_wEWTd63FZqpUi4fSPpI1lXtUKHntlfL9aAIO3h02stFjGOJD7dXM5F9bTNJcQ3ZHR3JGvOKQXJqka2UWz4R5MYcH_dvOfzjIl94A/s320/BFS+Amber+Apricot+3A.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
A few splatters with the same red paint and some watered down white gesso, random stamping with Tattered Newsprint stamp and Leaf Seedlings and it was finished.<br />
<br />
Sometimes its just a matter of finding the right photo, and sometimes its rewarding stepping out of that comfort zone! <br />
<br />
I'll see you again soon ;)Megshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10129368264919375819noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4751004094019267938.post-12119758103302681662018-03-05T15:37:00.001-08:002018-03-05T15:37:59.341-08:00Those Christmas gifts ............................Remember Christmas last year?? LOL yes I know it was a while ago, but I realised I forgot to share some of the creativity I made as gifts for some lovely people.<br />
<br />
First up is a giant clothes peg. I can see you all now wondering how on earth I came up with this idea for an OTP ;) To be honest I have no idea, but it was dirt cheap at $5 in the sales bin at TYPO so why not?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1rceXQqEyeSLyJoBk9ii169Fp2NHQuElPOdrcbLdM5U8K5JyhwBAXwWJvbmXV-0UuWWwQa0zMbPl1ZmfBqe9gKpAXmTAnmPIoUJsaHF68i-7aJ7Q5Dsu1Nj4Myp5WI6PIuAUbKu7zTXk/s1600/fullsizeoutput_ceb.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="741" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1rceXQqEyeSLyJoBk9ii169Fp2NHQuElPOdrcbLdM5U8K5JyhwBAXwWJvbmXV-0UuWWwQa0zMbPl1ZmfBqe9gKpAXmTAnmPIoUJsaHF68i-7aJ7Q5Dsu1Nj4Myp5WI6PIuAUbKu7zTXk/s640/fullsizeoutput_ceb.jpeg" width="296" /></a></div>
<br />
I wanted something dimensional and I certainly got that ;) Ive used paper, noteworthy, and chipboard from BoBunny the Altitude collection.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2Mwb9mCAlftsBuF2QUNX_hSOxYnP5wcF_Jf3DdUiskZ7C5rQHKAq3vd5KbHAj3No3Q5fp2W89HV_0tLUSQwVU1C841k2Z69lRl44WRAxTPZq_O48UB9GvdXPJS3GxbV2ppxWo5azMDJg/s1600/fullsizeoutput_ce6.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="688" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2Mwb9mCAlftsBuF2QUNX_hSOxYnP5wcF_Jf3DdUiskZ7C5rQHKAq3vd5KbHAj3No3Q5fp2W89HV_0tLUSQwVU1C841k2Z69lRl44WRAxTPZq_O48UB9GvdXPJS3GxbV2ppxWo5azMDJg/s640/fullsizeoutput_ce6.jpeg" width="274" /></a></div>

<br />
A mixture of Manor House vines - yes Ive hoarded those awhile! - and 49 & Market flowers, and some lace from my stash completed the whole thing. And seeing as the recipient loves all things purple it went down a treat! :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRU5JvL5xKK5hks9nGNEZGKJeOP9SpbwHv9AvrbnPAJg78Spk4OgDuWYnTRZ3e5BPwqqAusLwC5Ko3zHEqAcJmqI-cUux8OkV699oVOA2kfvi7kmAWlcA17NJBY8mqJqjwxJ8djzXV04g/s1600/fullsizeoutput_ce8.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1355" data-original-width="1600" height="270" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRU5JvL5xKK5hks9nGNEZGKJeOP9SpbwHv9AvrbnPAJg78Spk4OgDuWYnTRZ3e5BPwqqAusLwC5Ko3zHEqAcJmqI-cUux8OkV699oVOA2kfvi7kmAWlcA17NJBY8mqJqjwxJ8djzXV04g/s320/fullsizeoutput_ce8.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The other gift I made was for a friend of ours who is an airline pilot. She never puts a tree up because she feels its a waste of time, since she's hardly there to put it up and enjoy it. Well, that was a challenge for me! and Kaisercraft had this awesome tree to decorate last year, and here it is..<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggZJdf7VVCplQC63Q56UVtCbBBzEXB2PJMWxM-dJTlGVELd9BKWNlc-DnC-Lhb_VTVbmF54nFbOY7zOXbfPSomYKIy8P_gjCPxclfLoPXqUF8dx-7O-BtMj2cdPAt_cZEa3FU7t_qANgM/s1600/fullsizeoutput_cee.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="939" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggZJdf7VVCplQC63Q56UVtCbBBzEXB2PJMWxM-dJTlGVELd9BKWNlc-DnC-Lhb_VTVbmF54nFbOY7zOXbfPSomYKIy8P_gjCPxclfLoPXqUF8dx-7O-BtMj2cdPAt_cZEa3FU7t_qANgM/s400/fullsizeoutput_cee.jpeg" width="233" /></a></div>
<br />
The papers are BoBunny Tis the Season. The wooden flourish and star are both Kaisercraft.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiln8zbm2wA9KNVPkwE_oM7AEwi_5d3atqNi_FexanjRFlif8IqxS8ZpDAC-iPYC7QaRf1CenJrQimC_5P72zUmk4FnRDB1LI7xaUgXMLVLXmBsDqNFPIb-H1CT8u4AVTNus1kCDcJDE-o/s1600/fullsizeoutput_ced.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1514" data-original-width="1600" height="302" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiln8zbm2wA9KNVPkwE_oM7AEwi_5d3atqNi_FexanjRFlif8IqxS8ZpDAC-iPYC7QaRf1CenJrQimC_5P72zUmk4FnRDB1LI7xaUgXMLVLXmBsDqNFPIb-H1CT8u4AVTNus1kCDcJDE-o/s320/fullsizeoutput_ced.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The flourish is just painted with some Prima paint, and BB pearls with some flowers finished the cluster. The round bauble is part of the tree, I just fussy cut the babble out from the patterned paper.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpPoMX_H5gRf7m8jzaQc2bKqSNVDP9UHy_sT_fk5l3aOeK34U3OdW_tYGufa_Th9DGRKBMAOXV8xBH4Qcro9dOQ5QHWg1vTB55gobIDIfIlkFDBmhQmrPnhB72Vuve3pmPadny43B4dDg/s1600/IMG_5065.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1066" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpPoMX_H5gRf7m8jzaQc2bKqSNVDP9UHy_sT_fk5l3aOeK34U3OdW_tYGufa_Th9DGRKBMAOXV8xBH4Qcro9dOQ5QHWg1vTB55gobIDIfIlkFDBmhQmrPnhB72Vuve3pmPadny43B4dDg/s320/IMG_5065.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Isn't that little airplane cute?! I cannot remember where I found it now, but it was just bare wood, so that was painted the same as the flourish. The presents were fussy cut from patterned paper and the cluster believe it not was part of a napkin ring I had found in a dollar store.<br />

Both were fun, quick little things to make, probably why I love OTP, they don't take long :)<br />
See you next time with a couple more ideas for Christmas gifts.Megshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10129368264919375819noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4751004094019267938.post-841036802578516412018-02-23T13:30:00.000-08:002018-02-23T13:30:14.849-08:00Are you In the Mood??Hi Everyone :)<br />
<br />
This month there is a new release from Blue Fern Studios called In the Mood, full of delightful shades of charcoal, grey, creams and pinks. With the paper collection comes some stunning embossing powder colours. One of them has become an instant favourite - Black Gold! Ive used this in the layout below, but really the photos don't do it justice, its just stunning.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV-CKiEwrbVHp4VD8srAM4VNQiyTqcQQmBrVhFlS8ocsFpDMfFzMinABN2s2jIDpdR14Kk0tvRezeW67Mp2eMka_aXwBjLrO92IqoBrQwFFTFKYfMdpNJYIqG-XZQi3UPkTCdZFqs7fU4/s1600/BFS+in+the+mood.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="659" data-original-width="650" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjV-CKiEwrbVHp4VD8srAM4VNQiyTqcQQmBrVhFlS8ocsFpDMfFzMinABN2s2jIDpdR14Kk0tvRezeW67Mp2eMka_aXwBjLrO92IqoBrQwFFTFKYfMdpNJYIqG-XZQi3UPkTCdZFqs7fU4/s320/BFS+in+the+mood.jpg" width="315" /></a></div>
<br />
This layout is a tutorial and you find all the details <a href="http://bluefernstudios.blogspot.co.nz/2018/02/in-mood-inspiration-tutorial-with-megan.html" target="_blank">here</a>:<br />
<br />
I created two projects this month, the other was my contribution to our ward's Valentines Day Raffle, trying to raise some funds to help with textbooks etc.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitvFB_oVuzRRmieYMTDTFEbgIyRKDatHiewp_bIkZ0aZJG45n0DncXpuwCaiXEyYANAA8Z31xDIy3xNUCwMNVL9iIsMoHezKymO-1o6jow3xTMHdIZFeEeSHaWnZcTwsVE7pzl1Bl_5ho/s1600/In+the+Mood+-+OTP+Card+Combo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="443" data-original-width="650" height="218" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitvFB_oVuzRRmieYMTDTFEbgIyRKDatHiewp_bIkZ0aZJG45n0DncXpuwCaiXEyYANAA8Z31xDIy3xNUCwMNVL9iIsMoHezKymO-1o6jow3xTMHdIZFeEeSHaWnZcTwsVE7pzl1Bl_5ho/s320/In+the+Mood+-+OTP+Card+Combo.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I had the box in my stash for a long time, it was from Heidi Swapp but goes to show don't throw anything out it will always come in handy! ;) I attached a piece of chipboard to the inside of the lid and just coloured it with archival ink. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjagBTtZ-Q2whLKeyFnJLKFKCCItFpkTfepkFTuG1hAYm8ujq8m-1_P4v2gs1IEv6QF8sjP14l7GjF9UkRX3RAa5NNFeFoHaPxnuOEF2hgDhUU2E_U3EzbkbB72jji4tvS8msRO_X1WMms/s1600/In+the+Mood+-+OTP.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="390" data-original-width="650" height="192" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjagBTtZ-Q2whLKeyFnJLKFKCCItFpkTfepkFTuG1hAYm8ujq8m-1_P4v2gs1IEv6QF8sjP14l7GjF9UkRX3RAa5NNFeFoHaPxnuOEF2hgDhUU2E_U3EzbkbB72jji4tvS8msRO_X1WMms/s320/In+the+Mood+-+OTP.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
On the lid I created a cluster of BFS flowers and die cut doilies, and a piece of the printed In the Mood chipboard. Along the sides of the lid I used a border punch with some lace over the top.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkC2BAmRtAMhSUrygMILJpWjpyVhm1qDsqoBwVqqr8ifwe6hs89-eNUXBLzog3p3xBFcJBqzAF0X0C8ZU9xHg1WA4sfOOWWA4sufxpMERz5JUeLkzyDLt-FoLjRWe5rQQxDxi4BDJjvtU/s1600/In+the+Mood+-+OTP+-+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="433" data-original-width="650" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkC2BAmRtAMhSUrygMILJpWjpyVhm1qDsqoBwVqqr8ifwe6hs89-eNUXBLzog3p3xBFcJBqzAF0X0C8ZU9xHg1WA4sfOOWWA4sufxpMERz5JUeLkzyDLt-FoLjRWe5rQQxDxi4BDJjvtU/s320/In+the+Mood+-+OTP+-+1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Cutting the paper to fit inside of the box was a bit fiddly and I had some gaps, but BFS to the rescue with some of their lovely lace and that fixed that!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-zEtz0fceJWmsi_JQggc2X2W_WV69Qz-h0M8goqB7gh_dTxhunAiNT6vjp0U67wPvryHaX4cnjdASFjj-d1bOXiaaojrSPwGKadSdElgSYdHmrVZSLSTltfW9Hh6xidH3pwb_AKSV4Xw/s1600/In+the+Mood+-+OTP+-+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="433" data-original-width="650" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-zEtz0fceJWmsi_JQggc2X2W_WV69Qz-h0M8goqB7gh_dTxhunAiNT6vjp0U67wPvryHaX4cnjdASFjj-d1bOXiaaojrSPwGKadSdElgSYdHmrVZSLSTltfW9Hh6xidH3pwb_AKSV4Xw/s320/In+the+Mood+-+OTP+-+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
So the card was next and I used the scraps from the box to complete the card, making it all match :) I also wanted to mimic the cluster on the box, on the card. So I used the same doily die and flowers.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSRfwwn0M6oi2gg0DcTT4rSNdNaP1YonnDKw6M2un4qx1stJ2lw1h_KJMcVg2zYgO4bnVm3uAvZ3hqEj3ceu3wRudUlnTLgnS3P3n8dX6wzBC-saGaiqRZTxuOmkIhgLLzr6gp2p30_dg/s1600/In+the+Mood+-+card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="651" data-original-width="650" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSRfwwn0M6oi2gg0DcTT4rSNdNaP1YonnDKw6M2un4qx1stJ2lw1h_KJMcVg2zYgO4bnVm3uAvZ3hqEj3ceu3wRudUlnTLgnS3P3n8dX6wzBC-saGaiqRZTxuOmkIhgLLzr6gp2p30_dg/s320/In+the+Mood+-+card.jpg" width="319" /></a></div>
<br />
Another piece from the printed chipboard set, a bit of ribbon and an arrow from my stash and its finished!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiG4zcRhTAiqiY5iRLFDc1MMS_M58j3zk-MYLMF1ztmvi_n_Z7l5xMETuJW0yysQMu-v5srcYmlMj_xcvLFcswXEgPKYTtXUKBp4XlxZwfWZXt6q1bfNqutB_ayEiFy0IecPnlfESNzF2A/s1600/In+the+Mood+-+card+-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="433" data-original-width="650" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiG4zcRhTAiqiY5iRLFDc1MMS_M58j3zk-MYLMF1ztmvi_n_Z7l5xMETuJW0yysQMu-v5srcYmlMj_xcvLFcswXEgPKYTtXUKBp4XlxZwfWZXt6q1bfNqutB_ayEiFy0IecPnlfESNzF2A/s320/In+the+Mood+-+card+-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>

<br />
So, 2018. Hard to believe its here already! The last half of last year seemed to fly by. And we're half way through January already. Or is that a sign Im getting older?, that time seems to go faster the older I get? Not that Im old, but you get the drift ;)<br />
<br />
My first post is up on Blue Fern Studios :). Stressful that first post; determined to do it justice, and then worrying its not quite good enough. Yes I know Im funny that way!<br />
I also picked a photo that I'd had for awhile, just couldn't get the papers quite right and seeing as my friends are passionate Whovians I was desperate to get it right. I think I did.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_qJXsNK4Th8A8niIyRV1nTyoGf0SxAVKVbcyjPi7BC4ONID7mVveW-z4VjXiG9-UCZDEL7uT1uhijHW4Q4p4z11vwiJKvCTFE2FN75H0nDxsfNtxmgt4fDFKzPjKZNWAg3xyRCna6LvY/s1600/IMG_5102.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="647" data-original-width="650" height="318" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_qJXsNK4Th8A8niIyRV1nTyoGf0SxAVKVbcyjPi7BC4ONID7mVveW-z4VjXiG9-UCZDEL7uT1uhijHW4Q4p4z11vwiJKvCTFE2FN75H0nDxsfNtxmgt4fDFKzPjKZNWAg3xyRCna6LvY/s320/IMG_5102.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I used the new Remnants Collection on both layouts - loved this collection - just enough fussy cutting to keep me happy ;). The embossing powders I have become an instant fan of! Especially the glittered ones that I used in layout below - Wheat and Night Sky. Just stunning!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPWW7ALdINYnpeuC9UY0KNpN3ewK5GXvVrPY_DhrFl2xVl-_7aLrs4JkTWHcV-DstfmuS5HxKcwSn3b4R159l7iruDh5-j8hEtnmRSu_dcaKhe6nO_LWaa4gKrnNbV_uggn3AFP0kF3OQ/s1600/IMG_5103.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="650" data-original-width="648" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPWW7ALdINYnpeuC9UY0KNpN3ewK5GXvVrPY_DhrFl2xVl-_7aLrs4JkTWHcV-DstfmuS5HxKcwSn3b4R159l7iruDh5-j8hEtnmRSu_dcaKhe6nO_LWaa4gKrnNbV_uggn3AFP0kF3OQ/s320/IMG_5103.JPG" width="319" /></a></div>
<br />
Of course it wouldn't be complete without one of signature wooden letters ;) the paper here is from an older collection, Frolic. And a fussy cutters dream just quietly :).<br />
<br />

See you soon! xxMegshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10129368264919375819noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4751004094019267938.post-51682469258178236932017-10-20T18:21:00.000-07:002017-10-20T18:21:49.603-07:00Designing Kits<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Something I was not going to do. Kit designing. But here we are with my second kit for The PaperTeapot, and just like last time this kit has a lot of product in it - yummy Blue Fern Studio Papers and flowers, Nuvo mousse and stencils are just a few. Theres 3 layouts this time, and a tag with the scraps, and theres still more leftover to make more tags, or a card.<br />
<br />
When my first kit came out I was quite nervous. Despite Joanna's encouragement I wasn't convinced it would sell, but they all sold. In an hour! This kit though is quite different to the last one and there is a reason for that. One of the comments I received was "don't I do layouts without flowers?" Well mostly no ;). but I do like a challenge, so this one is completely different!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfyDSUfLfKWrKEEww1eNUXKQCTn2QGzDMUmgCE8zUyvJf9bWfrgQuhgxeTuMjQNoOQnrax_3k3YLePHXgITI9kZe8Ijmd-US_G71cF6YOw2EDJGnup7Bh7wQARWfRfFiEj1LtC93Fjauo/s1600/BFS+Happy+Accident+-+Blessing.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1591" data-original-width="1600" height="318" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfyDSUfLfKWrKEEww1eNUXKQCTn2QGzDMUmgCE8zUyvJf9bWfrgQuhgxeTuMjQNoOQnrax_3k3YLePHXgITI9kZe8Ijmd-US_G71cF6YOw2EDJGnup7Bh7wQARWfRfFiEj1LtC93Fjauo/s320/BFS+Happy+Accident+-+Blessing.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the first layout, pretty plain and simple. Nuvo mousse and black archival ink has been used with 2 different stencils for my background and the chipboard has been coloured with mousse and embossing powder.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj149MFwdp8kRDmV6vgXO_4l5CHybpBvX79CX55tHggFbmQUs4tBycIS5uZaTG6lGhZ_ThG3rUNiRjT06iSm4QDewugH_cpm_F4-z2A2uMFwxhGuM1STjdwLOBLXIZ5YEAe8aoc0eZf3oc/s1600/BFS+Blessing+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1066" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj149MFwdp8kRDmV6vgXO_4l5CHybpBvX79CX55tHggFbmQUs4tBycIS5uZaTG6lGhZ_ThG3rUNiRjT06iSm4QDewugH_cpm_F4-z2A2uMFwxhGuM1STjdwLOBLXIZ5YEAe8aoc0eZf3oc/s320/BFS+Blessing+2.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWaeRFci3CftkhcyK1_-0kPY8vBDzPPLR4DR0GYIu614fAq1kvfaof58oPZVSSmqfusdTj1sMnJp5t3egzlDYJoiPDoVXTTbiaHO6LJqbwV9OSXUi4NtfV0tcBm7VPNMihyphenhyphenhOAWB8adSo/s1600/BFS+Happy+Accident+-+Incident.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1586" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWaeRFci3CftkhcyK1_-0kPY8vBDzPPLR4DR0GYIu614fAq1kvfaof58oPZVSSmqfusdTj1sMnJp5t3egzlDYJoiPDoVXTTbiaHO6LJqbwV9OSXUi4NtfV0tcBm7VPNMihyphenhyphenhOAWB8adSo/s320/BFS+Happy+Accident+-+Incident.JPG" width="317" /></a></div>
<br />
Another simple layout but I had to add some flowers to this one - weddings need flowers right? And remember, I can't sew to save myself so Ive used a stamp. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9kAgwpQz6b2tu4_tQx1mcVcy2iwXEmOx5ABBR0JphdyG1uis9czJegOO-ymne-8Bcys0yrTwooKY6f1PmaOgFvZJeHuafXk8IbuU2Ja2iGJfgN0RkAkjtf466mIZ0fVbuIETCIhy0qQk/s1600/BFS+Incident+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1066" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9kAgwpQz6b2tu4_tQx1mcVcy2iwXEmOx5ABBR0JphdyG1uis9czJegOO-ymne-8Bcys0yrTwooKY6f1PmaOgFvZJeHuafXk8IbuU2Ja2iGJfgN0RkAkjtf466mIZ0fVbuIETCIhy0qQk/s320/BFS+Incident+2.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiI4K08lt_TIGAJ8S87VeKi6LH8KZgZkBKyrYyKTeRZlq-8dIOnTrixswP_fGlakATg0gwjiFQ9da8_usU2two9LEWfXsQ72CsXOo6roao_TSX2loHZ06kXsIr3p-hOOmX5k-cWGhzHXWM/s1600/BFS+Happy+Accident+-+Windfall.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1587" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiI4K08lt_TIGAJ8S87VeKi6LH8KZgZkBKyrYyKTeRZlq-8dIOnTrixswP_fGlakATg0gwjiFQ9da8_usU2two9LEWfXsQ72CsXOo6roao_TSX2loHZ06kXsIr3p-hOOmX5k-cWGhzHXWM/s320/BFS+Happy+Accident+-+Windfall.JPG" width="317" /></a></div>
<br />
The third layout is this cute wee dude :). Nuvo mousse again but using my finger to rub through the stencil to get the effect I wanted.<br />

<br />
And lastly the tag. Lots of layers behind those flowers, can't really see them in the photo though. Ive used the BFS packaging for the base of my tag - I love how you can do that with their products!<br />
<br />
I hope you love this kit as much I loved creating it :)<br />
See you next time!Megshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10129368264919375819noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4751004094019267938.post-62021981054673157602017-10-08T19:59:00.001-07:002017-10-08T19:59:43.112-07:00The PaperTeapot RetreatI can't believe how fast this year is going! I also can't believe theres Christmas stuff in the shops already - its only October! Of course I maybe a bit late to the party, seeing as I only noticed on Saturday, and when I mentioned it to my sister she said they had been out for awhile!<br />
<br />
Theres been a lot going on in our wee household, which is why I haven't blogged for awhile, everyone is healthy again, and the dogs are backing running round like the happy things they are, which all means normality has returned ;). Long may it last!<br />
<br />
In September I went to The PaperTeapot retreat for some fun and creativity, and I also taught a class. The class went well!, the mojo not so much!, which is weird because that doesn't usually happen with me. Retreat went from Thursday, and my mojo finally turned up on Saturday afternoon! Very annoying!<br />
<br />
The class I taught was OTP - no surprises there ;) - but there was also a bonus layout :) I used Kaisercraft's MDF DreamCatcher, and decorated it with BoBunny Serendipity - I just adored this paper collection :) - 49 & Market flowers, chipboard from Scrapinec and metallic paints from Prima.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibcmJLjF2QFNRunB4dZd9Rie4_WXxcr8BqRT8Ly9JnBv5e9b8to7qc0UfUoVpcUljMpU0oU2KH1yQ1NxdoGBbqqLhsugXVJmClEM8FDfFfWe_pKAhJHgqK7fDTT5-EGIzOkhmPkWoIeZE/s1600/2017-08-07+06.46.59.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="883" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibcmJLjF2QFNRunB4dZd9Rie4_WXxcr8BqRT8Ly9JnBv5e9b8to7qc0UfUoVpcUljMpU0oU2KH1yQ1NxdoGBbqqLhsugXVJmClEM8FDfFfWe_pKAhJHgqK7fDTT5-EGIzOkhmPkWoIeZE/s640/2017-08-07+06.46.59.jpg" width="352" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
A bit of a tricky thing to photograph, as it turned out! <br />
The entire dream catcher was painted in copper metallic paint, and splattered with pale pink and mermaid metallic paints. Jute twine was wrapped all around the edge - that was the bit the took the longest.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />

<br />
A little fussy cutting provided some of the detail in the floral clusters, and the package of Noteworthy embellishments provided the rest of the detail to fill out the floral clusters, so that those little birdhouses looked like they were nestled in the flowers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The birdhouses are Scrapinec chipboard and were decorated with the scraps left over.<br />
When I first saw this paper collection I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it, and Im thrilled with how it turned out :). Its going to be winging its way over the ocean shortly to its new owner ;) :)<br />
<br />
Such a horrid day down here, which makes it perfect for curling up with a good book or scrapping! Hope whatever you're doing you're keeping warm!<br />
Til next time :)<br />

Cards are my thing so I had to say yes! Besides, she was using the new - at the time - Kaisercraft collection PS I Love You. Perfect for Valentines day or anniversaries. <br />
<br />
This kit was awesome!!! I went with two that were a bit arty farty and two that were more traditional. And did I mention there were flowers?! Not that I have too many or anything ;) one can ALWAYS use more ;) <br />
Everything you see on these cards were all from the kit. The only thing I added were punches and twine a bit of muslin. Loved those stitched heart dies!<br />

<br />
I had still had enough left over to probably make a couple more cards, or tags as well, so great value I thought.<br />
<br />
This months kit has just been announced in the newsletter and uses Kaisercrafts Wildflower collection with co-ordinating sequins, dies, twine, cardstock, flowers and stamps. Heres a wee look at it. I should also add you get photos for ideas as well, with cards made by Joanna and a guest designer to get you into the groove :)<br />

<br />
2017 seems to be zipping quickly along, and with that comes all the new releases in time for CHA. Have you been checking them out? Any favourites grabbing your attention??<br />
<br />
This year Im all about using what I have, heaven knows I have become quite the paper collector! We shall see how I go ;)<br />
<br />
With that in mind I was asked at work to make a mini album for a colleague who was retiring after 48yrs of nursing. I used a chipboard purse mini album from Maya Road that I had in my stash for quite sometime, and an older BoBunny range, Rose Cafe. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhI7YI8mgwHpsOpohz6ohgfmdnLxn1XSNskurhl3GyeYf-LjXpBkx_yr5q3-4vkGEnxVcoApWTwo6dBpMcGnSHyObLbaQYzt5p8It9_Qe2nvlukh78Q0NFoLVGCgzrH-Zh7-kJDtqhP9Rc/s1600/IMG_4626.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="365" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhI7YI8mgwHpsOpohz6ohgfmdnLxn1XSNskurhl3GyeYf-LjXpBkx_yr5q3-4vkGEnxVcoApWTwo6dBpMcGnSHyObLbaQYzt5p8It9_Qe2nvlukh78Q0NFoLVGCgzrH-Zh7-kJDtqhP9Rc/s400/IMG_4626.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
The outside and inside covers were layered with BoBunny decoupage paper from the Soiree collection - I was going to paint it but this was so much easier and tied in well with Rose Cafe.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKnNtKs79Q2yGYUjOFuy1y_104Ae_WEIrCMwJgdWmJFvdYfa3IYaB2tv2HbSmXaKc4GCJbU5T4VBj8iI8ueh7JDDQixfDiqulvRCLD1QMrlxjfpTTNp6vN_bOlLXPA90xSj4bn6jwUvLY/s1600/IMG_4629.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKnNtKs79Q2yGYUjOFuy1y_104Ae_WEIrCMwJgdWmJFvdYfa3IYaB2tv2HbSmXaKc4GCJbU5T4VBj8iI8ueh7JDDQixfDiqulvRCLD1QMrlxjfpTTNp6vN_bOlLXPA90xSj4bn6jwUvLY/s400/IMG_4629.jpg" width="223" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4I_wJMVT1CYdtVmGdR5dnW44FLiXLRnlr3j0UQiLw19qFXU_9cvkDzlNrsokJvbuH_k9dAY7Daa16aJYs2rdGyvBq5FFRxo8sKRjbEpAiKzalqoAUgM3zD_mWLA1K63Ab8y5z6iyZG_s/s1600/IMG_4630.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="380" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4I_wJMVT1CYdtVmGdR5dnW44FLiXLRnlr3j0UQiLw19qFXU_9cvkDzlNrsokJvbuH_k9dAY7Daa16aJYs2rdGyvBq5FFRxo8sKRjbEpAiKzalqoAUgM3zD_mWLA1K63Ab8y5z6iyZG_s/s400/IMG_4630.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
On the top added some trinkets and flowers, - every nurse needs scissors, a watch and the keys to the drug cupboard; well they used to, nowadays we have swipe cards and keypads ;) flowers because they are now banned from hospitals but I remember how they became missiles during the night shift hiding behind curtains ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiD81X3lqGWEXLo_jNaZaneHCMpoHmC19DlFHIis_Ym688bxWgKhZNmSAj7mo3hgVx7KC7zA1Z0dUPGZk-oOPXovkeEnLDEs8tbD0LtXr6TkV7YgHuBvbnbNv0r99kl2vr5U6q0999gzqA/s1600/IMG_4631.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiD81X3lqGWEXLo_jNaZaneHCMpoHmC19DlFHIis_Ym688bxWgKhZNmSAj7mo3hgVx7KC7zA1Z0dUPGZk-oOPXovkeEnLDEs8tbD0LtXr6TkV7YgHuBvbnbNv0r99kl2vr5U6q0999gzqA/s400/IMG_4631.jpg" width="232" /></a></div>
<br />
Inside the front cover I kept it simple, using one of the layered chipboard stickers, with some fussy cutting and some Petaloo flowers. <br />
The title page, again simple, chipboard alphas with one of the noteworthy pieces and jewels to embellish.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Some pages are embellished, others left untouched for people to write their messages on. Heres a selection of a few of them.<br />

It sure doesn't feel like that long thats for sure!, so if you're still hanging in there, you've done well or been very patient ;)<br />
<br />
Its been quite weird not working for BoBunny - Ive missed those boxes of goodies arriving in the mail, and the girls that made our team. Its been a bit weird and yet fun trying out new stuff or just things in my stash that I had purchased with an idea in mind but not got around to doing.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikyRc5pYKkjPb5FJt01LDLJrkkHSGDRAgVWB_qqwQcQ0NAIYp1dHhmdOASM94cXCa8Rq3cCuuowP6hR5s3_KVXWSYS5OiZik5FIqYRCagxpLQ8fSjN3dyOd1IWYAyBEMub0406rWKD53U/s1600/IMG_4364.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="147" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikyRc5pYKkjPb5FJt01LDLJrkkHSGDRAgVWB_qqwQcQ0NAIYp1dHhmdOASM94cXCa8Rq3cCuuowP6hR5s3_KVXWSYS5OiZik5FIqYRCagxpLQ8fSjN3dyOd1IWYAyBEMub0406rWKD53U/s400/IMG_4364.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
This project was one of those things ;) I found the chipboard word at Warehouse Stationary I think. At the time I already had one so I thought it would make a good gift, only its taken til now for me to decorate it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCbFtb3uLX792OQ01ZOfrH43aSOZvl6DZvXWjjk7ykk-Ys4F1vC8SuogBIk-bm7AChvGqSq6yUTmwRaVfzuMQS27HRyIy-Pn-6QxviUSASpsYerM-ZPQCSpwa1aTrvpSO7VTgAnkNr8TM/s1600/IMG_4359.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="178" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCbFtb3uLX792OQ01ZOfrH43aSOZvl6DZvXWjjk7ykk-Ys4F1vC8SuogBIk-bm7AChvGqSq6yUTmwRaVfzuMQS27HRyIy-Pn-6QxviUSASpsYerM-ZPQCSpwa1aTrvpSO7VTgAnkNr8TM/s320/IMG_4359.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
For inspiration I used the colour challenge at Prima, which was shades of purples, and gold - using sprays, and mica powders to give me the colours I wanted.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlQgSVRlfWsvZVjc2lJNbPVIqR7SLAnLPpw3B7e1TIdTn-WYhOrCnMHlvO0M4ghzpc7wN5NKqAfoSdrKmPvR-m4EekAY5LlwkFQN9fPYDOl_dJfsOrE0Nr_6gX9tBKGKGKufMTdEJ5Y48/s1600/IMG_4360.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="178" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlQgSVRlfWsvZVjc2lJNbPVIqR7SLAnLPpw3B7e1TIdTn-WYhOrCnMHlvO0M4ghzpc7wN5NKqAfoSdrKmPvR-m4EekAY5LlwkFQN9fPYDOl_dJfsOrE0Nr_6gX9tBKGKGKufMTdEJ5Y48/s320/IMG_4360.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I started off random stamping through the middle of the word before deciding on where to place embellishments and some of those way cool Prima stones. I also used gold and bronze micro beads. The stamps I chose was an old Prima script stamp and the new Rossibelle stamps.<br />
<br />
Hopefully the recipient will find some Creative Inspiration from it ;)<br />
See you soon!<br />

The one thing thats great about winter is sitting scrapping by the fire :) Todays no exception, its freezing out. Although sometimes its hard to drag myself out of a good book, as I camp out by the fire!<br />
<br />
One of those crafty sessions lately produced this little collection. I used the Firecracker collection to make my card and decorate my gifts.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSIFXZAWiNXJq9iLksHM_wHFQ2mvc1yeWUqw_JoKuaCT4ur3GaxZQbhMZmBtnUFTQMzGsnwVtSgjezCzkJeIG4F1nvqJDqm9Iaz8KVv7tOoqs7UfaNFZY-U4S-JaqJ-DkvA2BMlRcsq_c/s1600/IMG_4177.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSIFXZAWiNXJq9iLksHM_wHFQ2mvc1yeWUqw_JoKuaCT4ur3GaxZQbhMZmBtnUFTQMzGsnwVtSgjezCzkJeIG4F1nvqJDqm9Iaz8KVv7tOoqs7UfaNFZY-U4S-JaqJ-DkvA2BMlRcsq_c/s320/IMG_4177.jpg" width="250" /></a></div>
<br />
So first up the gift bag. Just an altered paper bag. Ive dry brushed gesso over the base, and then layered different pieces from the collection together for my cluster. The best thing I love about the different collections is that I can use buttons from various collections to match any paper theme! I think I used three different ones for this set of gifts :)<br />
<br />

So Happy Birthday Shirley, I know you had a lovely day and got spoiled rotten :) like any birthday girl deserves! :) <3<br />
<br />
See you next time :)Megshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10129368264919375819noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4751004094019267938.post-32090866169976110392016-05-22T20:15:00.001-07:002016-05-22T20:15:39.835-07:00Butterfly Kisses - BoBunny DTSometimes a collection comes around that just grabs your attention, and Buttefly Kisses did that for me, I just love it!<br />
<br />
A friend of mine had a birthday coming up and Forbes and I chose a voucher from Hanmer Springs for her to enjoy a little relaxation. The idea was that I was going to roll up the voucher and tie it with a ribbon, and pop it in the box. Course the voucher arrived and it was too wide, argh!!! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV67jdTJcdGIA0kTFoXyNAV7MqnQpGoCeiQHHw7MvFhyphenhyphen5AupWyt1fo6s9w_L2taMyPj8dvcM5aLoWS8A23lJq3uBu4BFW-5dOAALNjiA1qlWXVKj0YgEXVMp7ql_Q2xjmxEFWCbk9QxR0/s1600/IMG_4138.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="233" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV67jdTJcdGIA0kTFoXyNAV7MqnQpGoCeiQHHw7MvFhyphenhyphen5AupWyt1fo6s9w_L2taMyPj8dvcM5aLoWS8A23lJq3uBu4BFW-5dOAALNjiA1qlWXVKj0YgEXVMp7ql_Q2xjmxEFWCbk9QxR0/s320/IMG_4138.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
BoBunny have a new crackle paste that is just the bomb!! This is my second time using it and I haven't a failed yet. Really simple to use and doesn't take long to dry and crackle as it goes. This box was just bare wood, I didn't even have to gesso it first. The primer went on first, then the crackle paste and I ended up with a lovely white crackled box. I wanted it to match the paper I was using on the card so I painted it with Island Mist Pearlescents.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I inked all the edges black and then randomly stamped over it with my favourite stamp, It is Written. The stamp under the metal handle is part of the Romance set.<br />

I wanted to use the Elegant border die as a bow but found that a whole double bow made from the die was too much, so I made a plain white bow first and then looped my dies together for the 'double' layer.<br />
<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxqUZt_3fPRYtfCzTeLGagyRv0NitvvUs2r6MKSNK-M75PkbpaRBN1VV8IZQa93YoeavKUH_SKHR-k6SOvrQs5vqtqwi7rCQdP2E8_Vv0dHZtwmNTZ_ITYUUUzuSpLYBywFN8lOJq_eL4/s1600/IMG_4145.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="296" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxqUZt_3fPRYtfCzTeLGagyRv0NitvvUs2r6MKSNK-M75PkbpaRBN1VV8IZQa93YoeavKUH_SKHR-k6SOvrQs5vqtqwi7rCQdP2E8_Vv0dHZtwmNTZ_ITYUUUzuSpLYBywFN8lOJq_eL4/s320/IMG_4145.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The card was the easy part ;) I just used all the scraps from the same piece of paper as I used for the bow on the box. Fussy cut some elements from the papers, added some tags and blossoms and a little mixed media in the background using gesso and silver glitter paste.<br />
<br />
This week also brings the announcement of the first group of finalists for the new 2016 BoBunny DT on May 26th. I thought long and hard, and chewed the ear off a lovely friend about whether I should reapply. In the end I decided not to. I have had three amazingly special years with BoBunny that I will never forget, they have truly been an amazing team to work for and the team of girls I designed with were a fabulous team of ladies. We all had our highs and lows in our personal lives and the support from them never wavered. I will really miss being on this team; I had my dream come true, and now its time for someone else's dream to take shape. So to those of you that applied, GOOD LUCK :) for those that don't make it this time, never stop trying, you never know when that dream will come true <3 and for all of you who have been so encouraging over this time, THANKYOU! it meant a lot! <3<br />
<br />
See you soon :)Megshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10129368264919375819noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4751004094019267938.post-22271426954244892812016-04-28T01:30:00.000-07:002016-04-28T01:30:00.365-07:00Becky Higgins, Page Maps and BoBunny :)A match made in heaven! Well thats what I thought when we were asked to volunteer for an extra project :) Each of us were sent a sketch to play with using which ever new collection we chose. I chose Toybox :)<br />
<br />
This was the sketch I was sent by Becky :)<br />

<br />
Ive tried to remain true to the sketch. Instead of a patchwork look with several photos that the sketch has I used the pocket squares from the paper, and layered that on to a further piece of paper and then cardstock. It gives the same impression, while only using one photo.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This little fellow is growing up fast, way too fast :( but this was at 2yrs old and completely unaware I was taking the photo. As opposed to now when he is quite adamant he doesn't want his photo taken lol</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<br />
I love this new star die from BoBunny - I have cut it out twice and layered them on top of each other but slightly off centre. The bonus is all the loose stars from the negatives of the die cut, they make great little embellishments :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9cZx17pVgK3Eg_2tOnFVgPEpzmZjkL6j18Bx7wFT0jcnSBJQBrIjmax7rTb9s8anRxWNGMlKpPdNzxTJH9x92pYtMDiiNsLj5R3yAfxn9yWDCy7Bnse6ulFHOcYtaRnLEHuzvdMZxWks/s1600/IMG_3832.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="179" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9cZx17pVgK3Eg_2tOnFVgPEpzmZjkL6j18Bx7wFT0jcnSBJQBrIjmax7rTb9s8anRxWNGMlKpPdNzxTJH9x92pYtMDiiNsLj5R3yAfxn9yWDCy7Bnse6ulFHOcYtaRnLEHuzvdMZxWks/s320/IMG_3832.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Layering stickers with brads along and the side, and fussy cutting crayons, lifting them up with chipboard gave the whole layout depth and finished it off perfectly. A little faux stitching along the edge of both squares tied it all together.<br />
<br />
Thanks for popping by, see you next time!<br />

Where on earth is this year going? Its flying by! And as usual Im a bit late, but not for a birthday. This time its an anniversary, not mine but a friend. One of those friends you don't get to see often, but when you do its like you just saw them yesterday and just carry on where you left :) I love those types of friendship :)<br />
<br />
February is her wedding anniversary and I swiped this photo of them off Facebook ;) Love the picture and it tied in perfectly with Beautiful Dreamer.<br />

<br />
Most of the work is done for you with this piece of paper, which is a bonus! Ive added to the background with random stamping with two different stamp sets and a stencil, and the new Rose Gold Glitter Paste - this colour is stunning!!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5fKZsMPFAsidkBbBXtJcp57EFDX88IfxxSuAA3tFRH39NgT9eWtprfuobhOFJo3h0a01G8XGTNayJdIj7DMRTygVFl-GH90B9x9LBRHXJmagyTpzBg_7VZGhowo4QrT8vcjQJjLoseO0/s1600/IMG_3834.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5fKZsMPFAsidkBbBXtJcp57EFDX88IfxxSuAA3tFRH39NgT9eWtprfuobhOFJo3h0a01G8XGTNayJdIj7DMRTygVFl-GH90B9x9LBRHXJmagyTpzBg_7VZGhowo4QrT8vcjQJjLoseO0/s320/IMG_3834.jpg" width="179" /></a></div>
<br />
The number was fussy cut from one of the papers in this collection and popped up on some chipboard and inked around the edges.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp9PyZF2cxJF7tyqcKtYy1XkHknCqgt9yeFMqg0ImZyfIdPPcffHvI45TFC9CIFitrzJHSZQFpYzz7mUidOlAcnIHhDNPGr3bN_x-ER2amNwBVPqlOb1SSRkvWRLPPeaX4v7gfym4UZ58/s1600/IMG_3835.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="179" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp9PyZF2cxJF7tyqcKtYy1XkHknCqgt9yeFMqg0ImZyfIdPPcffHvI45TFC9CIFitrzJHSZQFpYzz7mUidOlAcnIHhDNPGr3bN_x-ER2amNwBVPqlOb1SSRkvWRLPPeaX4v7gfym4UZ58/s320/IMG_3835.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To finish it off I've used stickers and brads - I love how this layout came together!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also had a play with the scraps from this layout and made a collage using an old wooden frame I had lying round.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDHt3rJnpx_TYKMsjcm0KIoe9QI1ZLU1QhxKXabAs2lJPOjayg7gXcTPfWdQdg1fCZUt6syFFI9mCRJRD3Hrt9XmnQC-Il9pUHXDFd3ThoGtx4POuFNQ0Kf7ZKIYEe3vMi8Tq6cwszzZM/s1600/IMG_3825.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDHt3rJnpx_TYKMsjcm0KIoe9QI1ZLU1QhxKXabAs2lJPOjayg7gXcTPfWdQdg1fCZUt6syFFI9mCRJRD3Hrt9XmnQC-Il9pUHXDFd3ThoGtx4POuFNQ0Kf7ZKIYEe3vMi8Tq6cwszzZM/s320/IMG_3825.jpg" width="222" /></a></div>
<br />
Ive used the same stencil in the background, and then adhered one of the layered chipboard pieces. More fussy cutting and layering of stickers, brads and buttons finished it all off.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The other project I completed this month for BoBunny was a canvas using the lovely bright Believe Collection. You can see that on the BB Blog <a href="http://www.bobunny.blogspot.co.nz/2016/03/wall-decor-card-with-believe.html" target="_blank">here</a>. In the meantime heres a wee sneak of it ;)</div>

I find them so easy compared to layouts, and never seem to run out of ideas for them.<br />
The inspiration for this came from a fellow DT member, Tracee Provis who also does amazing OTP. She made a beautiful hot air balloon using Primrose - you can see that <a href="http://bobunny.blogspot.co.nz/2014/05/40-k-40-day-winners-and-off-page.html" target="_blank">here</a>. Isn't stunning?!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZmBMsLcG0vtyBAlCRpTXLub285M7ljRKhb25vsrod8GNJvLW5niTUFFZT4YA7bSdFuYImEmrrcAcvefzFh8XeBtfH4lLPNBa8gBvj0Azc08YQ1vvc205C-QohZn1jmcuM_b4wVKd0jHE/s1600/IMG_3763.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZmBMsLcG0vtyBAlCRpTXLub285M7ljRKhb25vsrod8GNJvLW5niTUFFZT4YA7bSdFuYImEmrrcAcvefzFh8XeBtfH4lLPNBa8gBvj0Azc08YQ1vvc205C-QohZn1jmcuM_b4wVKd0jHE/s400/IMG_3763.jpg" width="287" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
This little beauty I found at Spotlight and it comes as, well I guess you'd call it paper mache. I picked out which colours I wanted to use from the paper collection; made a template of one of the sections and cut them out, distressing all the edges.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
One of the other new products BoBunny have brought out is the Ornate Doily Dies, and Ived used those to create the banner around the balloon. There are three in the set and Ive used all three in this project.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQ4JdVceBgVENYmASjfXTKyxqb63G_IvHOqO4SzLTGEz6FkPRaGwNblgHdrTmfJXDjDxLXnoufcplZ6yd69S_-HzllHjiL5dT9EVL1CLJDlq2kVX1c1bn1HAac1_gPCn7dSJIpbxxMOzw/s1600/IMG_3764.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="206" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQ4JdVceBgVENYmASjfXTKyxqb63G_IvHOqO4SzLTGEz6FkPRaGwNblgHdrTmfJXDjDxLXnoufcplZ6yd69S_-HzllHjiL5dT9EVL1CLJDlq2kVX1c1bn1HAac1_gPCn7dSJIpbxxMOzw/s320/IMG_3764.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3RYUgvg50mJUw8FkLsMq8UXgospVf9QtLzMjFRrWfeQzHLAYWQYiVnPFsS8w2sTvPwciE_DxC17ftWmNQyCQgQMAO3vnlNZJCfJ36WfH4A4zX-ELzfB9IFqRjg5vhvQIJJSfeRBBA4n4/s1600/IMG_3765.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="179" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3RYUgvg50mJUw8FkLsMq8UXgospVf9QtLzMjFRrWfeQzHLAYWQYiVnPFsS8w2sTvPwciE_DxC17ftWmNQyCQgQMAO3vnlNZJCfJ36WfH4A4zX-ELzfB9IFqRjg5vhvQIJJSfeRBBA4n4/s320/IMG_3765.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Birds have been fussy cut from some of the papers and Ive curled these to make them look more life like and adhered them with foam dots. Buttons, twine and seam binding ribbon tied all those banners to each other.<br />

This is the top of the balloon. You can see the smallest of the Doily dies here with a button over the top - which covers up the joining of all those layers perfectly ;)<br />

<br />
I kept the basket simple, just adding seam binding ribbon and brads to each point where the basket was connected to the balloon.<br />
Isn't it the coolest thing?! I love it :)<br />
<br />
I was on a bit of an OTP roll at the time I made this, and over at BoBunny you can see an altered diary using the new decoupage papers and clear stickers. You can find it <a href="http://www.bobunny.blogspot.co.nz/2016/02/off-page-with-believe.html" target="_blank">here</a> but in the meantime heres a sneak peak.<br />

Things like his hospital bracelet, first outfit etc etc. Well, Im going to be a Great Aunt all over again in a couple of months to another little boy :) :)<br />

<br />
I found the box at The Warehouse, and its quite big taking just under a 12 x12 piece of patterned paper for each side. I like how this range gives you the option of going super bright and fun or muted and shy. For this one, I went bright and fun :)<br />

<br />
I cut all the blocks from a sheet a of paper layering them so that they flow around the side as well, and added some noteworthy and chipboard elements for dimension. All the sides were inked in black ink.<br />

This year I want to be a bit more organised!! and thats where this idea sprang from.<br />
<br />
Im notoriously late with birthday presents. Terrible. So bad in fact that I've been a month late before :( I have the ideas for gifts its just that I can't seem to get myself organised in advance enough to get them sent. So this year I aim to be different. With the help of this wee book :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHrbvdDjt-hX8L5zYt4EOElECbT_JrnCNcDusjJdy3ZBDr8H90nhJuDyNbAq9ygvlVPWPRhAlymSSWaZzA5TLqF8fi3Ozz04Vabuga6_sGEBrveN5MC9rXPgBrvc4BIcwSYfsbf3Sxq9s/s1600/IMG_3737.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHrbvdDjt-hX8L5zYt4EOElECbT_JrnCNcDusjJdy3ZBDr8H90nhJuDyNbAq9ygvlVPWPRhAlymSSWaZzA5TLqF8fi3Ozz04Vabuga6_sGEBrveN5MC9rXPgBrvc4BIcwSYfsbf3Sxq9s/s400/IMG_3737.jpg" width="290" /></a></div>
<br />
At the end of last year - sounds so long ago eh? lol. - BoBunny released the Calendar Girl collection. When I looked at it I thought it had so many options, not just for its original purpose which was planners. Project life also sprang to mind. But I also thought of my birthday book. Each month has a blank calendar so perfect to use in any form.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhI_0S39XKiMdAbWzK94fBCqGUwV5cuLs0dKUwh8V7rn4ulw7jynqsBcHafxnkKr9pMYk0WdlxiY3wcy750oPLMtzDP_PkpLRaphjf4IQqUsvtTlt-sZV3BLIQBSOEHqEo4HMmFpaPeHP0/s1600/IMG_3739.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhI_0S39XKiMdAbWzK94fBCqGUwV5cuLs0dKUwh8V7rn4ulw7jynqsBcHafxnkKr9pMYk0WdlxiY3wcy750oPLMtzDP_PkpLRaphjf4IQqUsvtTlt-sZV3BLIQBSOEHqEo4HMmFpaPeHP0/s320/IMG_3739.jpg" width="306" /></a></div>
<br />
So where to start? I made the pages first, layering them on white cardstock. Punched some holes and created an embossed line to imitate the look of a fold. Each calendar was then inked along the edges in a corresponding colour.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJCdCf-AhwHflNCy2ijoRyckZ7LfxQl4xIhUVjtzkyrDhgfh4182M844FXeGolL2A08GAqCHFLToEM1wTha1tVLI04dZpc_JnP3Z_JTSNi3aY8dPUKj_auyqQ3bPT-JOoxQUj69MzgnBk/s1600/IMG_3741.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJCdCf-AhwHflNCy2ijoRyckZ7LfxQl4xIhUVjtzkyrDhgfh4182M844FXeGolL2A08GAqCHFLToEM1wTha1tVLI04dZpc_JnP3Z_JTSNi3aY8dPUKj_auyqQ3bPT-JOoxQUj69MzgnBk/s320/IMG_3741.jpg" width="304" /></a></div>
<br />
On the reverse I layered white cardstock. For each piece I inked the edges in the same colour ink I had used for each calendar page. So January is blue, so I used blue ink etc. I can then write the names and dates of each person on back and any other information I wanted. I used a selection of noteworthy, and buttons from various collections to embellish them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjh0ne4IhFwPB8G6YNt_TzS7fMRjW578pCA1M2lvm0HtaIyOQafERn9cgjhrsKM11mVJ-jJ1E1Fd3eLkDlf4CjMPic01AlWPdP6-mgS9rFD0SKbJjTpUV_fFrky4Lb5pVlHAF05OEGdkk/s1600/IMG_3740.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjh0ne4IhFwPB8G6YNt_TzS7fMRjW578pCA1M2lvm0HtaIyOQafERn9cgjhrsKM11mVJ-jJ1E1Fd3eLkDlf4CjMPic01AlWPdP6-mgS9rFD0SKbJjTpUV_fFrky4Lb5pVlHAF05OEGdkk/s320/IMG_3740.jpg" width="309" /></a></div>
<br />
To identify each persons birthday I used the stars from the Cascade Stickable Stencils with either pearlescents or glitter paste, depending on which colour I wanted.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJXu4TPJibRhZ65Z145xiK5ZTvM4I84ws9_ODwnPcX4flxNduazUJh48xltQ5X5ZDcagvQBEVTirjrDy1kdGYOlADcZ0ZOCNxZ3ezN01jYCitSvk3W-hp_WQYErfAAaPhdbGP5CSBUel0/s1600/IMG_3738.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJXu4TPJibRhZ65Z145xiK5ZTvM4I84ws9_ODwnPcX4flxNduazUJh48xltQ5X5ZDcagvQBEVTirjrDy1kdGYOlADcZ0ZOCNxZ3ezN01jYCitSvk3W-hp_WQYErfAAaPhdbGP5CSBUel0/s320/IMG_3738.jpg" width="311" /></a></div>
<br />
For dates that were all about Forbes and I, gold glitter paste was used with hearts from the same stencil set. May 24th was the day we got engaged :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi07Ab7k64pag0fNsNz6_2ePAkHzx4QLoAUi82XF3xyVQUB1i9JX2wGGDZtwgMIIet6V5sFMKWecE9z2qsQVh3MIIraq_d2zqwDOHTJCCCDShjzrKtilpQEBzGuMfng7Tb62tA7xx9iY38/s1600/IMG_3744.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="228" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi07Ab7k64pag0fNsNz6_2ePAkHzx4QLoAUi82XF3xyVQUB1i9JX2wGGDZtwgMIIet6V5sFMKWecE9z2qsQVh3MIIraq_d2zqwDOHTJCCCDShjzrKtilpQEBzGuMfng7Tb62tA7xx9iY38/s320/IMG_3744.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
To create the cover I used black thick chipboard and covered it with patterned paper - its was about 6x6" so the paper pads were perfect for coverage. I layered on top some Journalling cards from the collection and then roughly painted on gesso, followed by pearlescents. Once it was dry I used a baby wipe to remove some, going for a roughed up look. Random painting using Mint glimmer spray and then random stamping, finished the background off.<br />
Further layers are created by using a laser cut chipboard phrase, stickers, noteworthy and muslin. The butterflies were fussy cut from the Primrose collection. Two layers of washi went along the bottom, and it was finished.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkVKUuZ4iOeGLK7qifdBu4qnwTVQ_Gyyw7nO1fYDqM_MQF4oT1GXhgRV11qHWLPtkaPh1l-AVzYT_ZEs-eXA4fVIYyg_IoXsVCcSq3B0t9TiSh8fwrS-sJacv_dEayz9SLEIFTOKR_4Ws/s1600/IMG_3743.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="228" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkVKUuZ4iOeGLK7qifdBu4qnwTVQ_Gyyw7nO1fYDqM_MQF4oT1GXhgRV11qHWLPtkaPh1l-AVzYT_ZEs-eXA4fVIYyg_IoXsVCcSq3B0t9TiSh8fwrS-sJacv_dEayz9SLEIFTOKR_4Ws/s320/IMG_3743.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Easy peasy! And now it sits on my desk so theres no forgetting!!<br />
See you next time :)Megshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10129368264919375819noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4751004094019267938.post-33335717527129250012015-12-27T00:40:00.002-08:002015-12-27T00:40:39.857-08:00Christmas With a Twist - BoBunny DTThe silly season is nearly gone :( a shame because I love this time of year. The giving of gifts, family, the thrill of getting the perfect gift for someone, or better yet, making it ;)<br />
<br />
This year I made a few things but one of the more tricky - well for me anyway - was being asked to make a childs name - decorating wooden letters. Boys! I find them tricky at the best of times. They don't come easy, a bit like mixed media lol.<br />
<br />
The only requirement was blue. <br />
<br />
So when is a Christmas range not a Christmas range? When you take the plainer pieces of course!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg89Mre7Wx1TkoIhmOn6m-Fu0Q3jgqcm3BaTsD6DBUx6ffoOCOLIvids6Fiy1QblNac1SxBgEKi6e9Dc0jL3IFx-d91m9It-y7Ai8O9wcFoU0bz4RHbVd3LwksDa6p7jJl8nJQWdWSwknw/s1600/IMG_3676.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="107" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg89Mre7Wx1TkoIhmOn6m-Fu0Q3jgqcm3BaTsD6DBUx6ffoOCOLIvids6Fiy1QblNac1SxBgEKi6e9Dc0jL3IFx-d91m9It-y7Ai8O9wcFoU0bz4RHbVd3LwksDa6p7jJl8nJQWdWSwknw/s320/IMG_3676.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Ived used the plainer blue pieces of paper from the Sleigh Ride Collection from BoBunny, and decorated them with glitter paste, stencils, stamps and buttons.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8mK7KTtpkkBpVS3vZb0URV2pPaFMNNWTzVr7qRKBWG_rTGNMuVEOkHAUBlE3lvd-5h_Wg_7RsxuKSEA4xPoyINl_2j4c98Jr6k4_RrGj6wdQfnSfAdLaOTCAVuUhdvcn9GDvA_yeKHww/s1600/IMG_3678.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8mK7KTtpkkBpVS3vZb0URV2pPaFMNNWTzVr7qRKBWG_rTGNMuVEOkHAUBlE3lvd-5h_Wg_7RsxuKSEA4xPoyINl_2j4c98Jr6k4_RrGj6wdQfnSfAdLaOTCAVuUhdvcn9GDvA_yeKHww/s320/IMG_3678.jpg" width="179" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The close up shows the stars from the Cascade Stickable Stencils, with Copper Glitter Paste - quick and easy because the glitter dries so quick. A few random stamping strips with the new Rough it Up stamps finishes it off.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<br />
Ive had this terrarium for awhile, it was going to be a Christmas project, but I fell in love with Enchanted Harvest!, and knew it was now going to be my wee forest :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I love that there is so much fussy cutting!! :) :) and the autumn colour scheme, which is one of my favourite combos :) and butterflies! and did I mention the sunflowers?!! Theres a lot to love! And while its also about Thanks Giving it lends itself to so many other possibilities.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhE7lCAeSP0qY8iFMHgPLbtbENMRULM0bDnA9yMPf9L6l5slQdw554J8wcndAWLLkfPLbOgnWH8kJGalFafd5t3JA_IyK0tpiFiDhyht3pe_0jcDphrOANmWM4WzgaA9-amKsXVKRv34Xs/s1600/IMG_3665.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhE7lCAeSP0qY8iFMHgPLbtbENMRULM0bDnA9yMPf9L6l5slQdw554J8wcndAWLLkfPLbOgnWH8kJGalFafd5t3JA_IyK0tpiFiDhyht3pe_0jcDphrOANmWM4WzgaA9-amKsXVKRv34Xs/s320/IMG_3665.jpg" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
The butterflies are curled to give them 'flight' and mounted on laminate to help give them the appearance of flying :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
I fussy cut the little girl out - I quite like how she looks like she's peering up at those butterflies :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Looking down from above, - its'nt that wee deer so cute?!<br />
<br />

<br />
All the flowers are curled and leaves are dry embossed with my flower making tool set, which I think gives them all 'life' and not looking flat.<br />
<br />
If you are celebrating Thanks Giving, I hope you've had a lovely weekend :)<br />
thanks for popping by, til next time :)<br />

It wasn't what I initially had in mind but that just was not working, and then I saw this in Spotlight and new exactly what I wanted to do. But Im still late :( I seem to have developed a track record for that :( :( even though I always have the best of intentions!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJ-EX8xoA616yA85DDfj7-gXhjGIh7XX_ETZ1uqNZvoszS0q0Ivc8RwiiF6ji4JfQiJzLlg_UsXQi0OkOBHQAPrQ6rT8QLXDXx1sHLKGTF6Uva3OzXXfd9dQPyupjiwK4OQNisBjx8ags/s1600/IMG_3650.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="254" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJ-EX8xoA616yA85DDfj7-gXhjGIh7XX_ETZ1uqNZvoszS0q0Ivc8RwiiF6ji4JfQiJzLlg_UsXQi0OkOBHQAPrQ6rT8QLXDXx1sHLKGTF6Uva3OzXXfd9dQPyupjiwK4OQNisBjx8ags/s320/IMG_3650.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Kaisercraft have put out some of these phrases in MDF - they come with a wee stand to sit upright but I discarded that to mount it on a canvas.<br />
<br />
I love all those layouts or canvas with a rainbow of colours in the background and wanted to have a go at something like that, so that was the idea for what I wanted behind the phrase.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1akLDaDFP4ei4svaqbg6KCzNPFR8gkDL96gHufO1sOrXoloHtSEkjWCCzyKXaAsjyw6HTfiCZw2YaTNFRAxjLF2_uILAp2w7qEWARKJdNdiKlvnr6wOzEdOkPqO7qwkDKfFGNV8garpY/s1600/IMG_3652.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="178" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1akLDaDFP4ei4svaqbg6KCzNPFR8gkDL96gHufO1sOrXoloHtSEkjWCCzyKXaAsjyw6HTfiCZw2YaTNFRAxjLF2_uILAp2w7qEWARKJdNdiKlvnr6wOzEdOkPqO7qwkDKfFGNV8garpY/s320/IMG_3652.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I couldn't be bothered painting the wood with a brush, so I spray painted it - far quicker! I sprayed on the paint colours I wanted to use for my background, and then used a paint brush to roughly spread it around, and waited for it all to dry. I used two different stencils for the background, one with gel and one with texture paste.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPvp6GpjvsuusYmhCmBf8wT7dp-1oTbhNjzdDgMmmZRDlP7FubZuQpEBY9K70KflJfqchFY14KTFUkvsYwkdQffvLv8BzUTpQRP3msiG7fzywdO6FPZ-Bqi48hMtOA9oUUixzoJy-ZyxA/s1600/IMG_3651.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPvp6GpjvsuusYmhCmBf8wT7dp-1oTbhNjzdDgMmmZRDlP7FubZuQpEBY9K70KflJfqchFY14KTFUkvsYwkdQffvLv8BzUTpQRP3msiG7fzywdO6FPZ-Bqi48hMtOA9oUUixzoJy-ZyxA/s320/IMG_3651.jpg" width="178" /></a></div>
<br />
When that was all dry I then started stamping with two different stamp sets, one Finnabair and the other a Prima stitches, stamp in black archival ink. And that was it! I LOVE it!! So does the recipient ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
As I sit here typing Im thinking also of the absolute rubbish going on in the world today. My thoughts like many of you are of Paris. I seriously wonder some days what the world is coming to. Never mind global warming, we seem to be doing a better job at killing each other. I wonder why we can't just accept that we are all different and get on with it instead of trying to make people conform to what we think they should be? <br />
<br />
Be happy everyone :)Megshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10129368264919375819noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4751004094019267938.post-37492383448596317982015-10-30T01:25:00.002-07:002015-10-30T01:25:21.023-07:00Dear Santa………. BoBunny DTHi there :)<br />
<br />
Its funny how our tastes change, don't you think? When it came to Christmas I was always shades of red and gold. My sister is always silver, white and glass. Well her tree is anyway. But the more years I scrapbook the more Im changing and Im not religiously sticking to my original colours for decorations - except the tree! That stays the same colour scheme. Of course if my husband allowed me to have another tree, well you never know what I'll come up with! lol ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjS1Ec40QGZZ63Jg0MgRSBuoSX7I0J4pWLOEmM-PeT9Vu6ahEZx9HvomoZPpNwaF1YMHnL1_sVIKl1_HuIhJH3nZtlYd073UlpjcdQTFf7gGZxjMbTbZRLD6rA9jI2c0Xk6_mCTmuE95kQ/s1600/IMG_3632.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjS1Ec40QGZZ63Jg0MgRSBuoSX7I0J4pWLOEmM-PeT9Vu6ahEZx9HvomoZPpNwaF1YMHnL1_sVIKl1_HuIhJH3nZtlYd073UlpjcdQTFf7gGZxjMbTbZRLD6rA9jI2c0Xk6_mCTmuE95kQ/s400/IMG_3632.jpg" width="276" /></a></div>
<br />
So, Dear Santa? Its bright and actually quite funky and I found I liked it. The wheels started spinning on what I could do with it, and then I remembered these boxes I had from last Christmas, and the idea came together.<br />
Last year my sister organised a present from all my family for a series of date nights for Forbes and I and they were all printed out on paper, and popped in a small box. And then another one. And another - there were 5 in total, all separately wrapped. Her idea was that I would be able to use them later. Did I mention she was sniggering away as each time I thought we had reached the end only to find another layer!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0sdTkrEPNDXWFxKGfDwLPOU2-BMO_NBpj2Nw9b-4MEdhFo9fJEgox0VTTb5-nMPJzJ6wCJXDh8FoOne1q2I87D0zmzsPZ0OZoDqnVZk-QQUn1k6JxzFvSSwAGz9Ndq4ndStHtN2iRltY/s1600/IMG_3633.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0sdTkrEPNDXWFxKGfDwLPOU2-BMO_NBpj2Nw9b-4MEdhFo9fJEgox0VTTb5-nMPJzJ6wCJXDh8FoOne1q2I87D0zmzsPZ0OZoDqnVZk-QQUn1k6JxzFvSSwAGz9Ndq4ndStHtN2iRltY/s320/IMG_3633.jpg" width="309" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Ive used three of those boxes to create this project. On the top Ive made a little house out of chipboard, and then made some mini presents, again out of chipboard. When I saw that wee chipboard piece Gift Wrap Central I couldn't resist making it the sign on my wee house :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUPiuHJgy3gSqFHVUqqS3ynjrVz__o-xgTK-5Qqq6RmCFnW4_OIuSzf3_sgpVjNPMhGNtMsfG_kaJ4naNMHQYq7eaBbHJUoylWZRCDd9el3DL5QlMBRphWKODBRo31_43sQcEnrZjYkZY/s1600/IMG_3634.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="237" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUPiuHJgy3gSqFHVUqqS3ynjrVz__o-xgTK-5Qqq6RmCFnW4_OIuSzf3_sgpVjNPMhGNtMsfG_kaJ4naNMHQYq7eaBbHJUoylWZRCDd9el3DL5QlMBRphWKODBRo31_43sQcEnrZjYkZY/s320/IMG_3634.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
My poinsettias Ive curled in on themselves and added some jewels from the yellow hues, die cutting a couple of different style leaves from my paper pad.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs-xvihL4xLkmxchXYK6vsTh07TwR3t07mKc4mXR-cDa8mPh_7WPzyiXSF1jg-JOHr3zCG9UfNFTONQk32NzV8oIIqGaY_7ucsE-Bdw3NbnqmaOSEvoMAWWKIOcGRNoqlKuAi8Rw2awO0/s1600/IMG_3636.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs-xvihL4xLkmxchXYK6vsTh07TwR3t07mKc4mXR-cDa8mPh_7WPzyiXSF1jg-JOHr3zCG9UfNFTONQk32NzV8oIIqGaY_7ucsE-Bdw3NbnqmaOSEvoMAWWKIOcGRNoqlKuAi8Rw2awO0/s320/IMG_3636.jpg" width="284" /></a></div>
<br />
Lastly it needed some tags. And of course Santa ;)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM71RNQ-iqgsB2ApAZw6mXpsLvgj63RM-91vyP5iiscA_X8mPVMAacsmB6DKycomsx6BPkjuBS3Zjcr69d1SFTdL6DGUqZKimQY_wTaa5vj2QT4ba4POXqPnVo8xZdmFCL9WOMySdQIH4/s1600/IMG_3635.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="236" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM71RNQ-iqgsB2ApAZw6mXpsLvgj63RM-91vyP5iiscA_X8mPVMAacsmB6DKycomsx6BPkjuBS3Zjcr69d1SFTdL6DGUqZKimQY_wTaa5vj2QT4ba4POXqPnVo8xZdmFCL9WOMySdQIH4/s320/IMG_3635.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
So how are your decorating plans coming along? Its never too soon to start ;)<br />
Incidentally, the other two boxes are yellow and they match Genevieve perfectly, just saying ;)<br />
<br />Megshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10129368264919375819noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4751004094019267938.post-66172229875548270342015-09-22T13:11:00.001-07:002015-09-22T13:11:57.271-07:00Stencil Storage with Provence - BoBunny DTRemember that post I did recently about using Misc Me binders for my stamp storage? Well I had another idea along the same lines, this time Im using the binder for storage for my new 6x9 Stickable Stencils, and my BB dies.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoCwK_o7bomLxw8zx407cY_z1Nwh_DzDjPiuUloOlpOjs6rCKkisTOIqK0TePCMqGDfyQEBb4UJnLzbp1JfW1nJe75JL4s1PWcsGchH3PtYzpULYLC0psJSsANsSfJ1cjIJUO8MxAj338/s1600/IMG_3541.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoCwK_o7bomLxw8zx407cY_z1Nwh_DzDjPiuUloOlpOjs6rCKkisTOIqK0TePCMqGDfyQEBb4UJnLzbp1JfW1nJe75JL4s1PWcsGchH3PtYzpULYLC0psJSsANsSfJ1cjIJUO8MxAj338/s400/IMG_3541.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I wanted to keep most of the cool silver foil background, so I first gessoed the background and then roughly painted the background with Butterscotch and Coral Pearlescents, before using one of the new stencils - Starling - with Copper Glitter Paste.<br />
